Speech-Language Pathologist
Sara believes everyone has a right to communicate.
In order to support a child's growth and development, we need to first identify their strengths. She will work with clients and caregivers to develop growth goals, therapeutic activities, and carryover ideas to support communication growth and development.
Professional Background & Goals
Sara earned her Masters in Speech-Language Pathology from the MGH Institute of Health Professions in 2006. She was inspired to enter this field while working with a family with children with autism. As a professional, she has supported pediatric populations in public and private schools and outpatient clinics.
She is accredited nationally through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and is licensed to practice speech-language pathology in Massachusetts and by the MA Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
Sara has participated in trainings and implemented The SCERTS Model, developed as a whole-person approach for neurodiverse populations. Sara has completed training in Reading with TLC and is ready to support pre- and early literacy skills. Additionally, she trained as a post-partum doula through DONA.
Professional goals include expanding knowledge and practice in pediatric feeding and breastfeeding support.
